Instructions to create a Bootable Windows 7 USB Flash Drive 

It is a very easy task to create a bootable pendrive go step by step and you are done.......

Step 1: Download rufus on your computer from the given link and run it .

Step 2: Plug in your USB flash drive into your computer .

Step 3: From Rufu’s settings, Choose NTFS as the file system.

 Step 4: Check ” Quick format ” and ” Create extended label and icon files

Step 5: Check ” Create a bootable disk using ” and click the drive icon beside it to select the windows 7 ISO file .

Step 6: Now click on start to create a bootable window 7 USB flash drive .
After a few minutes your Windows 7 bootable  USB flash drive will be  ready for installation. Reboot your PC and set the bootable flash drive as a first boot priority in the bios settings. Save the bios settings and reboot once again to continue with the windows 7 installation process .

Hide data in notepad with command prompt (Steagnography)


Step 1: Open your command prompt Start->Run type cmd


Step 2: Move to any destination for example let us assume C:\> drive.

Step 3: Type the below code in your command prompt
         
             C:\>notepad mytest.txt:hidden


Step 4: Write some data and save the file.


Step 5: Move to C:\> and open mytest.txt you cannot see no data in the file.


Step 6: To retrieve the hidden data open command prompt and type the same command.


Step 7: C:\>notepad mytest.txt:hidden


Step 8:Notepad will open mytest.txt file with hidden data.

How to write protect or unwrite protect your USB

Note: You have to open your Command promt (CMD) as an administrator

Step 1:  First insert the USB Flash Drive and open the Command Prompt in Admin mode. Don’t know how to do that, then you need to visit this here. Open an Elevated Command Prompt or  Open cmd as Admin

Step 2:  Now type DISKPART and press enter.

Step 3: Type LIST DISK and see the name of your USB Drive. Now Type SELECT DISK 1 (name of the drive.)

Step 4: Now type ATTRIBUTES DISK to see the current state and permissions of the drive.


Step 5:  Now to enable write protection on USB Flash Drive, just type  ATTRIBUTES DISK SET READONLY and press enter. Now try adding some files to the USB drive and you can see that a message pops out saying that the disk is write protected and read-only.

Step 6:  If you want to remove or disable the write protection on USB Flash Drive, just type  ATTRIBUTES DISK CLEAR READONLY and press enter. Now again try adding some files and you can see everything is normal as before.
